  • 2015 HBAK Fall Meeting

    John David Dyche will be joining the HBAK Board of Director’s meeting on Thursday, October 15th to give the members a preview of the Governor’s race and the 2015-16 Kentucky elections.  John David Dyche is a political commentator for WDRB in Louisville and a lawyer at Fultz Maddox Dickens PLC.  He is a native of London, KY and a graduate from Centre College and Harvard Law School. 


  • The Kentucky Design & Remodeling Awards - 2015

    Today opens registration for this year’s awards.  All HBAK members have until August 1, 2015 to register for the awards and until September 18, 2015 to submit their project.  All the forms, rules, etc.

  • Waters of the U.S. Rule Takes Effect Aug. 28

    The new definition of “waters of the U.S.” (WOTUS) under the Clean Water Act becomes effective Aug. 28, and it will make a big difference for property owners who suddenly find out that they need to consult with the federal government before they can develop their land.

    The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has released a new online tool to help real estate professionals, lenders and other industry professionals learn about impending changes to mortgage lending rule

  • Thanks for a great 10th anniversary to the KY Construction Career Days

    The HBAK thanks all those who joined us for the 2014 Kentucky Construction Career Days on September 23rd and 24th at the Shelby County Fairgrounds.

    About 2,100 students attended this year's event, which also marked the tenth anniversary for the Kentucky Construction Career Days.

    The Kentucky General Assembly will begin its 2015 legislative session on Tuesday, January 6, 2015.

    This short session of the legislature will feature consideration of many issues, including over 600 individual pieces of legislation that will be filed during this period.
