Thanks for a great 10th anniversary to the KY Construction Career Days

The HBAK thanks all those who joined us for the 2014 Kentucky Construction Career Days on September 23rd and 24th at the Shelby County Fairgrounds.

About 2,100 students attended this year's event, which also marked the tenth anniversary for the Kentucky Construction Career Days.

Mac Crawford, who has served on the K4C Committee since its inception, put in long days on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesdasy of Career Day week to make sure the many aspects of the event went as planned. Thank you, Mac, for your leadership.

This year, we had a nail driving contest (check out the photo below). The students really seemed to enjoy competing against one another and the clock! HBAK members assisting the students included Marshall Todd, Neal Tong, Bill Hodges, Mike Kegley, Glen Perkins, David Sowders, and Sherry Grim.

The HBAK also thanks Robert Riggs, Todd Johnson, and Bruce Maybriar, exhibitors at this year's event. Several HBAK member companies also took part in the Career Days, too.

We share a big thank you to all our members who give their time to Kentucky Construction Career Days. While it's hard to give up two mornings of work, your dedication to workforce development and the future of our industry will continue to bear many rewards!
